Phillip Island - Having completed the race in fourth position in the Japanese MotoGP, Marquez now has 197 points. That is the achievement of a maximum of Marquez, with the season only remaining three races, is no longer able to pass Rossi (283) which is currently 18 points ahead of Lorenzo.
Having a chance to defend the title vanished, Marc Marquez started thinking about preparations for next season, although still eager to get on the podium in the last three series.
"The truth of course now my mind is more focused on pre-season next year, but there are still three races remaining so I'm looking forward to be able to finish the three races on the podium."
Repsol Honda rider MotoGP world champion the last two seasons it has been ascertained no longer involved in the competition this season live Movistar leaves two Yamaha riders, Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo.
"We'll see if able to win because the Yamaha rider looked very strong and I think Jorge will be dashed very quickly since FP1 on a weekly basis. So we will try podium and competitive, and closed the season as possible," he said.
At the weekend the race will unfold at Phillip Island. The circuit, along with Motegi, the two circuits which have never been won by Marquez in the MotoGP class. Last year at Phillip Island he fell while leading in a race that is often challenging weather conditions.
"I'm looking forward to this weekend because Phillip Island is one of my favorite tracks, it was always fun driving here. Maybe I was not lucky last season but this is a special track," said Marquez.
Meanwhile Dani Pedrosa who was in good condition after two races before it was always on the podium was attributed to Lorenzo. Because Jorge Lorenzo once said that he needed help to catch up with Valentino Rossi at the top of the MotoGP standings. Because both of Spain, is there any help that comes from Dani Pedrosa?
"(The difference) 18 points is a lot, but if I win all the races and there are other riders who finished between me and Valentino, I can still win this championship," said Lorenzo after finishing third in the Japanese MotoGP.
Unfortunate for Lorenzo as the most consistent rider Rossi finished the season with only once finished outside the podium. That's why Lorenzo need help from other riders to keep Rossi was far behind when he spades.
Mathematically, the odds Lorenzo overtook Rossi points and become a world champion this season is still wide open. But the condition is not easy: Lorenzo had a clean sweep of victories in three races remaining, while Rossi did not finish as runner-up in the amount of the same race.
One of the riders who have the potential to do so is Pedrosa. Repsol Honda rider was performed okay in the last two races with each finished runner-up and champion. Moreover, Pedrosa also from Spain. But Pedrosa will you do?
"It's hard to say (who will win). They both live a great season and I think they both deserve it. It is difficult to answer anyone who I support the Yamaha rider to win, but now only those who play the competition,"
"I am neutral because I can learn from such situations. There are three races where Lorenzo is very tough and he proved to be very fast on a dry track. But Valentino take advantage of the momentum that he has and it can take you into a world champion," an end to Pedrosa.
"They were both live and now I will remain silent. I am waiting to see who could benefit me," said Pedrosa, laughing.
