Sepang - Yamaha team boss Lin Jarvis, very satisfied with the results obtained in the test team so far this preseason. He also looked at the 2015 season with high optimism.
On the first day of testing at Sepang Circuit on Wednesday (02/04/2015), Valentino Rossi is in second place just 0.118 seconds adrift of Marc Marquez, who recorded a time of two minutes 0.262 seconds. Jorge Lorenzo then trailed behind by a margin of 0.259 of Marquez.
Better results obtained Lorenzo on the second day, Thursday (02/05/2015). Spanish rider record time of one minute 59.963 seconds. While Rossi is in sixth position with a time of two minutes 0.676 seconds.
"Basically we are happy because the start of this season is much better than last year. Two of our riders in good condition and we are competitive bike. "You did not get any points on the test, but clearly we are in the top group. Approximately we are on the same level as Honda, so we are ready to fight."
In the first test held at Seeping on February 4 to 7, the focus is on tire Yamaha. Yamaha hopes the bike can be competitive in all types of tires.
"We had a lot of little things and a lot of detail to be tested. The main theme is competitive in all kinds of tires, so we can compete to become the champion. So, this is the target," said Jarvis.
